Unknown Premium Conditioned Williamsburg Golf Courses

When you think of Golf in Williamsburg most golfers familiar with Williamsburg think of Golden Horseshoe and Kingsmill first.  This makes sense, one has been seen annually on TV the last 30 years hosting PGA and LPGA tour events  The other has hosted recognized USGA and NCAA events and affiliated with one of the top attractions on the east coast, Colonial Williamsburg. But what makes Williamsburg great is the other quality courses nearby.  The current state of the golf economy has hurt conditions on all courses but there are a couple in market that are very affordable and have conditions that rival the premium courses in Williamsburg.

At the top of the list is Colonial Heritage.  Consistently Colonial Heritage is as well conditioned as the top courses in southeastern Virginia.  It is difficult, yes but if “course condition” is at the top of your list then make sure you check out Colonial Heritage. Next on the list would be The Golf Club at Viniterra, although there fairways have yet to mature, making for thin marginal lies in the spring by fall it is among the best from Richmond to Virginia Beach and worth a look as well.  Both Viniterra and Colonial Heritage are very affordable and are great options to pair with premium courses in the area.
